Interdiscipline Synthesis Cosmology
Understanding the Physical and Metaphysical Aspects of Our Existence
Welcome to the ISC Website
This site is dedicated to the new philosophy of Interdiscipline Synthesis Cosmology (ISC).

This is a natural philosophy combining knowledge from all intellectual endeavors, for the purpose of establishing the most accurate understanding of the universe that is humanly possible.

Primary to ISC is the following founding premise; that Tachyonics can be used to explain many enigmatic and previously unexplained natural and supernatural phenomena, and that it is an important scientific endeavor.

There must also be three or more disciplines involved in any discussion of a subject of interest (e.g., science, spiritualism, the arts, ...), and a Complete ISC will require all of the information in the world as its database.

The future Complete ISC will serve as the basis for constructing a Theory of Existence (ToE), capable of describing all physical and metaphysical processes with which we humans have any real concern; including providing scientists with the ability to conduct experimental investigations into supernatural phenomena.

Consider this site your source for keeping up with the most recent developments in this field.

Interdiscipline Synthesis Cosmology

Natural philosophy incorporating Tachyonics into modern scientific thinking.

Article by H. Kurt Richter

Introduction:

Suppose you could empirically describe the substance of spirit creatures, or fully resolve the dispute between evolutionists and creationists, or explain numerous previously unexplained natural phenomena, investigate the nature of alternate-dimensional realms of existence, and fully define a Grand Unified Field Theory. These things, and more, are quite possible, according to implications from a new natural philosophy called “Interdiscipline Synthesis Cosmology” (ISC), which is the title for an understanding of the universe obtained by combining knowledge from all human endeavor; inclusive of all disciplines.

Researching tachyons many years ago, I came to the conclusion that gravity is probably mediated by a special sort of tachyon which I named the “gravitational exchange tachyon”, or GET particle. The math I devised to describe this new hypothetical particle allowed me to unify Einstein’s theory of General Relativity with Quantum Mechanics -- implying a way to construct a Grand Unified Field Theory that finally unifies gravity with the other fundamental forces, in a gauge-field format consistent with the Standard Model of particle physics.

But my work in Tachyonics revealed much more than the solution to the riddle of gravity. It led to a revolutionary conceptualization about the way the physical and metaphysical aspects of our existence actually work. In short, it forced me to recognize that we humans need a synthesis of all of the varied disciplines of intellectual endeavor, in order to arrive at the most accurate and comprehensive understanding of our existence we can possibly manage. And since I had also embraced the Interdiscipline Synthesis methodology established by Immanuel Velikovsky, the label for that conceptualization was logical. It must be named “Interdiscipline Synthesis Cosmology” (abbreviated as ISC), because it results in a new way to look at the origins, history, and possible evolutionary future of the visible universe. But Tachyonics can do even more than that. It can be used to re-examine everything we thought we knew about reality.

One issue that Tachyonics can address, but which has not been taken very seriously by any scientist (until now), is whether or not an experiment can be devised to detect the substance of spirit creatures, if they exist. That is, if we want to determine if things like angels, demons, gods, and other “spirit” entities really exist, what better way than to devise an experiment that allows us to learn the fact of the matter directly, by detecting particles of which they are composed.

I believe all of the alternate-dimensional entities of religion, myth, and folklore could be actual, but they are not what we thought, and need no longer be viewed exclusively from religious perspectives. They are just aliens made of tachyons. But that obviously brings up a debate about the true nature of human spirituality.

It is becoming increasingly clear that both the scientific and spiritual leaders of our day are espousing incomplete descriptions of reality. Far too many of those who profess to know most of what must be known about something are guilty of picking and choosing arbitrarily what are acceptable or unacceptable notions in their discipline, which results in conclusions, hypotheses, theories, philosophies, etc., based on personal preferences rather than detached scholarship, including expositions that cite physical evidence, pure mathematics, science, technology, contemporary philosophy, metaphysical and psychic phenomena, and ancient religious texts. Consequently, seekers of truth are forced to go from one source to another in search of the combination of ideas that results in a synthesis that represents their personal view of reality, which is then, necessarily, individual. But a single source for all of the information one might use to reach reasonable conclusions is had only at the expense of brevity -- such as all the books in the public library, or all of the sites on the Internet, and so on.

Since there is such an overwhelming amount of information to be analyzed, a normal person cannot absorb enough to devise a complete understanding of reality that results from considering all of human knowledge. Yet, fortunately, it is possible to imagine a natural philosophy that does just that; synthesizes all of the data from all of the various disciplines of human intellectual endeavor into a coherent form, suited to the mind of man. Such a philosophy is ISC, in theory. And the first fundamental premise of ISC must therefore be the adoption of the new endeavor of Tachyonics, as making valid contributions to scientific inquiry.

Consequently, a proper understanding of ISC must start with an explanation of tachyons, which falls under the general heading of “superluminal phenomena”.  [Search Terms: “tachyons”, “tachyonics”, “superluminality”, “faster-than-light”.]

Defining ISC:

The prefix “inter” can mean “mutual,” in the sense of viewing two or more things equally, while the word “discipline” can mean “a branch of knowledge,” so that the term “interdiscipline” can be interpreted to be “the viewing of two or more bodies of knowledge equally”, which is a general definition, as opposed to that for the more specific “interdisciplinary,” which means “of, relating to, or involving two or more academic disciplines,” and is reserved for use in University settings. Here, we choose to define the title “Interdiscipline” to be “the act of considering equally more than one body of knowledge at the same time,” or simply “multiple bodies of knowledge,” and stipulate that three or more disciplines are required.

The term “synthesis” can mean “the combining of separate elements to form a coherent whole,” or “the complex whole so formed,” and implies the mixing of different types of elements. We thus define the title “Synthesis” to be “the single though complex whole formed by combining separate fundamental elements,” or, more compactly, “the combination of.”

The term “cosmology” can mean “an explanation of the universe,” and we shall take the title “Cosmology” to be the same, and imply that the explanation must provide for a theoretical presentation, complete with a model of some kind.

Altogether, therefore, the term “Interdiscipline Synthesis Cosmology”, or ISC, can mean “the concept of the universe obtained from combining bodies of knowledge from several intellectual endeavors.” That is, the term is rather self-explanatory. ISC denotes a description of the universe obtained by synthesizing data from different disciplines.

Because ISC depends on a number of diverse areas of investigation, then it is properly considered a natural philosophy, as opposed to a scientific theory, religious doctrine, secular philosophy, …, although it will necessarily include many theories, doctrines, and other philosophies. Thus, a Complete ISC may purports to summarize much/all of human knowledge, with the stated goal of determining the most comprehensive and accurate description of the universe.

ISC must include all scientific concepts and scenarios relating to cosmology, numerous religious notions, many metaphysical concepts, and so on, and can leave no pertinent precepts out of the whole, even if ideas within one discipline are in conflict with ideas in another. This is done by requiring that statements comprising the elements that make up the whole of ISC are chosen strictly as empiricisms from each discipline; determined by consensus among scholars and contributors within each discipline.

The first criteria, therefore, is that a statement of fact is considered empirical in any discipline within which it is held a fundamental concept. For instance, in most Christian religions, the statement “murder is bad” would be viewed as an empirical statement. Likewise, in most scientific circles, the statement “gravity is a fundamental force” would also be considered an empiricism. The reader can, no doubt, imagine other examples.

Empiricisms from all disciplines can then be compared to each other, and those which are in conflict are separated, though not disregarded, and distinguished as the set of all Contradictions. What is left over after all these Contradictions are removed becomes the basic collection of empirical statements that form the Core of ISC. With that, some method can be used to solve conflicts among the Contradictions, so that the number of statements in the Core can be maximized.

The result of this writer’s efforts in such respects is the conclusion that the arts are the natural synthesis of physics and spirituality. There is something all-inclusive about artist’s ability to express themselves; to imagine complicated subjects; to create new things, and to tap into those metaphysical aspects of our humanity that cannot currently be explained by even the most profound scientific theories, and with which theologians continue to struggle to fully comprehend.

The arts can thus be viewed as a key to understanding how we may synthesize all of the seemingly contrary information in the set of Contradictions, such as the huge differences between evolutionists and creationists. And it is the philosophy behind ISC that provides the format which produces a valid synthesis of physics, spirituality, the arts, and other disciplines. It is foreseeable, therefore, that ISC could be used to establish a “Theory of Existence”, or ISC ToE; a theory capable of describing all of nature in physical and theological terms, as well as other aspects of reality. The holy grail of physics, the Grand Unified Field Theory, would have to be covered in such a theory, as would numerous other natural philosophies, religious notions, and the like.

“But physics already involves in-depth explanations of reality,” a scientist may say, “because it is based primarily on experimental evidence and actual, real-world observations of natural phenomena, while spirituality and the theologies of the world are based on mysticism and superstition, and are not provable.”

Yet, even while such assertions may be considered empirical by many scientists, this particular observation is unqualified, or non-empirical, because much of what passes for scientific truth in physics is really someone’s interpretation of an experimental result, or the experiment is established according to initial assumptions that boil down to the experimenter’s arbitrary choice of initial conditions, or a common perception among researchers is founded on some historical precedent, or some convention adopted by committee, rather than on pure impartial investigation.

In other words, there are many statements in science that do not qualify as genuine empiricisms, since some doubt or question about the particulars exists, or a statement is viewed as true even when there is no experimental evidence to prove it, or the statement was handed down by some figure of high regard, so everyone felt compelled to agree, and no-one has challenged it since that time.

Each statement submitted for inclusion as an empiricism comes by consensus, of course. But, in many cases, the consensus is that what some person says (not what an experiment reveals) is held as the empiricism, regardless of the so-called “scientific method”. What we require is to break away from ourselves, and develop new concepts about our existence; including no less than the next intellectual step in our development as sentient creatures; a method of finding the most accurate view of reality.  For, without that, we are little more than a many-minded collective, groping as if blind in the midst of a terrible data maelstrom.

ISC promises to give us that method, which will then gives us valid ISC theories.

For an ISC Theory of Existence (ISC ToE), no fundamental information set can be ignored, so that the ISC ToE provides us with the ability to describe anything that can be detected by our senses, anything detectable with instrumentation, and anything else we may conceptualize, real or imaginary, having something to do with our existence. There is also the possible benefit that other ISC theories can be devised which offer ways out of intractable intellectual quagmires, since such theories, theoretically, would be capable of giving researchers the tools needed to address otherwise unsolvable problems, such as detecting tachyons.

Suppose that physicists will be given the means to delve into all of the unseen places in both the microcosm and the macrocosm that they presently cannot access. What, indeed, may exist within the smallest known distance, or beyond the farthest detectable object from Earth? And think of what wonders theologians could contemplate should they be given a reputable means by which they may extrapolate upon the nature of spirit energies, the substance of alternate-dimensional beings, the actual form of a deity, and the ultimate vision of heaven.

Have no doubt. ISC stands to place us on an entirely new intellectual plateau.

Tachyons Overview

By H. Kurt Richter

According to Einstein’s theory of Special Relativity, the mass m of a moving particle is given by the formula;
m = mo/[{1-[(v/c)^2]}^(1/2)] ,
where mo is the rest-mass, v is the velocity of the moving mass, and c is lightspeed (~186,000 mi/sec);
as viewed from a standard reference frame. (Serway, 1124)

Obviously, there are three solutions with respect to the velocity, v;
(1) v < c, ensuring that m is real, where the particle is thus called a “bradyon”,
(2) v = c, so m = 0; the case for massless photons, which are called “luxons”,
(3) v > c, making m an imaginary quantity, due to the square-root of a negative in the denominator of the formula for m. (Lerner, 1246)

This third possibility implies the existence of particles with reversed causality (negative time), which always travel faster than light. Named the “tachyon” by physicist Gerald Feinberg in 1967 (Feinberg, 69) [though first proposed by O.M.P. Bilaniuk, V.K. Deshpande, and E.C.G. Sudarshan, in 1962], such a particle would also exhibit negative energy and/or momentum as calculated from a standard reference frame, and, as the given equation shows, it would take an infinite amount of energy to slow a tachyon down to lightspeed (due to its eversed causality) [just as it would take an inifinite amount of energy to accelerate a real mass up to lightspeed].  This does not, however, prohibit the existence of tachyons (as Einstein himself is said to have assumed), since it is quite possible that just as many tachyons of various kinds were created by the Big Bang as were the fundamental particles we have discovered so far.  What is more, since an infinite speed is the tachyon’s zero-energy level, then it is not outside the bounds of plausible inference to imagine the generation of certain infinite-speed and/or very-high-speed tachyons by means of various sub-light (bradyonic) particle interactions, because such tachyons would be so easy to create.

And there is evidence that we exist in a universe that is embedded in an infinite multitude of alternate universes. That is, the visible universe probably abides in a super-dimensional reality, or Miltiverse, which thus allows that there exists at least one superluminal analog of the known universe (the one predicted by Special Relativity). (Kane, 13)  Indeed, ancient thinkers (such as Vedic seers) long ago maintained that our world is super-dimensional in nature.  So modern science has come full circle, in recognizing this fact of life.

There is today much theoretical work being done on the subject of tachyons, and experimental investigations into all superluminal phenomena has become a growing trend.  For more, see: http://math.ucr.edu/home/baez/physics/ParticleAndNuclear/tachyons.html

For those who demand a Lagrangian for the tachyon, an example can be found in Open String
Theory, in which a Lagrangian density L can be given in terms of the kinetic energy T for a free (unbound) tachyon; L = (e-T)[1+ T + (∂T)2] , where e is the base of natural logs, the ∂ indicates a partial differential, and other energies (potential, thermal, etc.) are zero.  But should such a tachyon be viewed as amenable to the influence of a field of force, then the tachyon's associated potential energy U can be defined in terms of a scalar potential function p;  U = -p2[log(p2/e)] , and the Lagrangian becomes;  L = (e-T)[1+ T + (∂T)2] - p2[log(p2/e)] .

One tachyon that physicists may already have detected, however (in an indirect fashion) could be the neutrino.  Calculations involving the energy spectrum of electrons in certain low-energy beta-decay experiments have yielded a negative value for the square of the associated neutrino's mass; meaning the neutrino's rest-mass is imaginary. And, as it cannot be firmly established that neutrinos travel only at or below lightspeed (it had merely been assumed that this was so), then there is no valid reason to insist that neutrinos can’t travel faster-than-light.  We could object on the grounds that causality would be violated, but then we must maintain that some "law" of the non-violation of causality is not just a rule devised by Man, to satisfy the limitations of Man's imagination, but is a mandate strictly adhered to by Mother Nature  --  who often has quite contrary ideas of her own, despite what men may prefer.

Richter’s Assertions on Tachyonic Gravity

Summary from metaphysical thesis "Superluminal Gravitation".  http://altscience.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Superluminal_Gravitation

Assertions on Superluminal Gravitation --

1. Primary Assertion:  Gravity is faster than light, and is therefore a tachyonic force. View gravity quanta as point-like tachyons radiating invisibly from all massive bodies; providing negative radiation pressure in space, detected by our instrumentation as Newtonian gravity.

2. The apparent "pull" of gravity is due to negative radiation pressure from the collective action (due to reversed causality) of a special tachyon referred to as the Gravitational Exchange Tachyon, or GET particle. It was intentionally designed to be compatible both with General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics. But it is not yet a proven assertion; pending experimental verification. The thesis remains speculative science-fiction, although this may change in the very near future. Breakthrough results may be possible after realizing that the search for the quanta of gravity and the search for tachyons are probably one in the same search.

3. Newtonian gravitational force F is the sum of the individual forces imparted by the super-small GET particles, as they travel perfectly straight-line (i.e., classical) paths from a source-mass to an arbitrary infinite distance away, along the related radius of curvature for the field equations of General Relativity. Essentially, a GET particle is point-like, spin-less, and waveless, and should be considered the epitome of the concept of a point in space. Correspondingly, its trajectory can be viewed as a physics-based definition for a classical straight-line in space.

4. A GET particle's path is along the radius of curvature (Ricci scalar) of the field equations of Einstein's theory of General Relativity (GR). And because the GET particles are quanta, by definition, the resulting model of gravity they insinuate makes GR compatible with Modern Quantum Mechanics (MQM). In other words, GET quanta explain quantum gravity in a way that fits with the geometry of GR, by allowing quantum-mechanical information to be compacted within the Ricci Scalar. The question now is; does Mother Nature actually employ this scenario?

5. The GET quantum can be considered spin-less, waveless, and point-like, with at least one outstanding property; it imparts some fraction of its forward momentum to real objects through which it passes -- thus setting up negative radiation pressure in space, due to reversed causality. But being waveless, its wave-equation is reduced to a linear reference (the equation of a line). We could also devise a string-like action, such as screw-like, in such a way as to drill through space, causing force towards the source. But such a description is probably not the reality (even as a useful description). It is one of many ways the action can be defined in a string theory.

6. The GET quanta exist within very strict limits; they are faster-than-light, but never reach infinite velocity; a tachyon's mass is inversely proportional to its speed, as viewed from a bradyonic reference-frame; tachyonic time is negative compared to positive bradyonic time, etc. So, we merely remember to place tachyons in their alternate-dimensional space-time using the Tachyonics Operator, or other transformation scheme.
A unified field can now be envisioned, where the basic Unified Field (U), expressed in a relativistic gauge-field model (including electro-weak and strong nuclear forces) is added to a superluminal model of gravity (IG), also in a compatible gauge-field format, to obtain a Grand Unified Field (F), similar to writing a complex number;  F = U + IG , where I is the Tachyonics Operator, and G is a Newtonian Gravitational Field of virtual bradyonic particles (such as neutrinos), although it is permissible to replace that version of G with anything more suited to specific experimental pursuits, as desired.

7. The accelerating expansion of the universe can be accounted for by taking the cosmological constant of GR as the observed result of the superluminal gravity of the tachyonic universe that co-exists with the visible universe. In particular, if the gravity of a bradyon is attractive, and superluminal, then the gravity of a tachyon, also superluminal, would be repulsive to bradyons. Collectively, then, all of this invisible tachyonic mass constitutes a source of true anti-gravity, and provides an explanation for the cosmological constant, and therefore of the expansion.

8. Again, if the gravity of a bradyon is tachyonic, then the gravity of a tachyon must be repulsive to bradyons. Thus, the gravity from tachyons can specifically explain Dark Energy, and tachyons themselves could constitute Dark Matter. What remains hereafter is to perform repeatable testing.

9. Using GET particles to establish a model of quantum gravity serves as the basis for constructing an empirical Grand Unified Field Theory that finally unifies gravity with the other fundamental forces, because it amounts to finding a way of expressing compatibility between General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics (see Assertion 4 above). This stands to change our views of life, the universe, and everything, with an intellectual step up in our thinking.

10. The Grand Unified Field (F), along with Tachyonics (the study of tachyons), will enable construction of an Interdiscipline Synthesis Cosmology (ISC), as a spring-board for a full Theory of Existence (ToE), capable of explaining the universe in the most comprehensive manner that is humanly possible, including many previously unexplained natural and supernatural phenomena. This means actual experimental testing/searching for “spiritual” forces, energies, and objects. In effect, the Tachyonics-Based Grand Unified Field represents the very physics of the gods.

Indeed, there were numerous areas of investigation forbidden to scientists before descriptions theories came into being that are now open to them, including research into the life-force, the basis of the human mind, and the seat of emotion. But Tachyonics also holds the promise of advancing our technology appreciably, including the development of near-instantaneous communications systems for use across unlimited astronomical distances; the design of space-ships capable of breaking the lightspeed barrier of space-time; and perhaps the obtaining of access to near-infinite magnitudes and unlimited sources of energy.

Compiling an ISC Core Database --

Gravity is probably mediated by a special tachyon, the “gravitational exchange tachyon”, or GET particle. The math for this hypothetical particle unifies Einstein’s theory of General Relativity with Quantum Mechanics -- implying a Grand Unified Field in gauge-field form, consistent with the Standard Model of particle physics.  This leads to a new conceptualization of all possible physical and metaphysical processes; a more accurate comprehensive view, begun by the Interdiscipline Synthesis method employed by Immanuel Velikovsky, and named “Interdiscipline Synthesis Cosmology”, or ISC.  This natural philosophy incorporates Tachyonics into general scientific thinking, to obtain empirical/quantitative formulas for application in experimental settings.  The goal is to have apparatus capable of detecting anything we can imagine, including the energies of the thinking mind, the true quanta of gravity, the life-force, and the very substance of spirit entities.

A complete ISC, in theory, requires all of the knowledge in the world as its database, from which an ISC Core of empiricisms, and the set of contradictions (called the Dissimilarities), can be drawn. This is accomplished using Kruskal Analysis.

Use Kruskal Analysis when compiling the ISC Core:
http://www.fon.hum.uva.nl/praat/manual/Kruskal_analysis.html

Kruskal Analysis also helps when setting-up scaling formats in Tachyonics:

Example Tachyonic Compactification is explained here; also involving Kruskal Analysis.
